Question about "shared" reminders (The new grocery list)

when or how often does it sync with other people, I share this list with my wife but she doesn't seem to get all the updates i added within the last few hours.

Does it only sync with icloud (when connected to wifi/charging)?

It should be almost immediate assuming a viable internet connection of some sort. It is for the one I share.

Make a grocery list in Reminders on iPhone

In Reminders on your iPhone, make a grocery list, automatically sort items into categories, and change how items are grouped.

If you can't get it to work correctly, I would recommend the OurGroceries app (I'm not affiliated with them).

I've been using it for more that 10 years and I never ever experienced sync issues.

Thanks guys. TBH my wife's been using the Notes app to list the shopping and I don't see to much of a difference between both other than columns.

Yeah Notes also get the job done but if you have Apple Watch it's easier to check items off on Remeniders.

Also far simpler to add to Reminders… “Hey Siri, add [whatever] to the grocery list”

And easier to mark as purchased (remove from the list) by simply ticking it.

The later would definitely please my wife. She hates the fact that on Notes items checked / bought are not removed. She's so particular 🤣

AnyList is a really nice app for this BTW. Used it for many years.

Hmm.. I have never thought about this but yeah the behaviors are different. In Notes if you check it off it falls down to the bottom. In Reminders if you set to Hide Complete it will be gone.
