If I am wearing the Apple earpods and I ask Siri a question like, 'What was the score for Crystal Palace today' (U.K user here!!)and he can't find the answer, his next response will be, 'Shall I search the web for what was the score for Crystal Palace today?' I can't just then answer, 'Yes'. I physically need to touch the screen on the part where is says, Search the web (under his last response)

Is this correct? I've tried just saying 'Yes' to his question but it seems that he just then responds to the general statement of 'Yes' and not responding to my answer of 'Yes' (search the web.....)?!

Does that make any sense ?!!!

It makes sense, and yes you have to press the button on screen, or you can outsmart her and immediately say search the web for.....insert search term.
Bottom line is it does not make sense she won't accept Yes and do the search right away herself.

So if I need to still press the button on the screen, it means that there is no way to use Siri completely hands free ( because you'll always still need to hit the 'Search the web' button when he/she has not understood or managed to find the answer to your question?!

You only need to press it for some things.

Confirmations for Messages, reminders, etc don't require you to press the button.

It does make sense that you need to tap it to search the web, since right after you will have to actually use your phone anyway.
