I was just gifted an Ipad wifi 64 gb. I was told that there is a 90 day return policy. If I opened the Ipad and used it for awhile, could I return it for a full refund or exchange it for an Ipad 2 later? Would this only be the case if I didn't open the Ipad?

target has walmart's old 90 return policy on all items. walmart changed it to exlude electonics for like 15 days... It a str8 90 day no hassle return policy open box and all...

Why don't you just call them up and get the real answer? You'd have to wait for someone here who actually works for target to stumble on this thread. By that time, you'd already have gotten the answer.

I am going to call them but I wanted some reassurance from people that might of had experience with this.

WHy someone would start a thread rather than just googling Target return policy is beyond me.

Target Stores Refund Policy

A receipt dated within 90 days is required for all returns and exchanges.

All returns and exchanges must be new, unused, and contain all original packaging and accessories. A form of personal identification may be required. Some items cannot be returned if opened and may only be exchangeable, including music, movies, video games, software and collectibles. Other restrictions may apply.

Don't have your receipt?
In most instances, Target stores can verify purchases made on a credit or debit card, check or GiftCard using our Refund Look-up system. Refund Look-up is also available for Target.com purchases.

If your return was part of a gift registry, please visit our Gift Registry Return Policy.

All other returns or exchanges, including those without a receipt, will be offered manufacturers’ warranty and repair assistance at 1-800-303-0308 (if applicable).

Store refunds will be issued in the same form of payment originally used for purchase:

Credit Card Purchases: refund will be credited to the original credit card.

Target GiftCard Purchases: refund will be issued in the form of a Target GiftCard.

Gift Recipients: refund will be issued in the form of a Target GiftCard.

Check Purchases: refund will be issued in the form of a Target GiftCard up to 10 days after original purchase or as cash back.

Restocking Fees: Some items are subject to a 15% restocking fee, including camcorders, digital cameras, portable DVD players and portable electronics.

Tax: The appropriate tax amount by item will be included with your refund.

Discounts and Promotions: The refunded value for each item returned will be reduced to reflect the value of any free gift or discount.

Holiday and Seasonal Merchandise Refunds: Holiday and seasonal merchandise on clearance at the time of return will be refunded at the current clearance price.

Other restrictions may apply.

If you come up with reason they won't give you any problems. Don't say you don't like and it works great. Say like it will not sync with your computer and you tried apple tech. Or it's not connecting to your wifi and you know it's not your iPad because your old one works. Say something that's hard to prove not like the screen doesn't work. I never got a restocking fee when I did that when best buy had one.

Ie with a gps say that it sometimes won't find satellites intermentetly. No restocking fee either.

Btw I only had to do this once or twice honest. With the gps it's because it said it has all these great features on the box then I found out you had to be optional attainments for traffic. It ended up being cheaper paying for the traffic service in my cars built in sat nav.
