Question about the Apple Smart Cover

I've never owned an Apple Smart Cover for my iPad, so I was wondering how stable it is when folded into the "Viewing" mode stand? I use my iPad at my desk with a bluetooth keyboard, sometimes for hours, and was wondering if the stand mode is stable enough to use for this purpose while constantly tapping at the screen?

not very stable compare to folio case. folio case offers a better viewing angle and stability

It’s perfectly fine to use that way. I have used this setup for my iPad Pro 9.7 for the last year with no problems.

I think it's stable. Particularly on a desk. Perhaps the leather one may be more so? But personally I think the polyurethane is also stable.
