Question about the Galaxy Nexus

I realize this is a little off-topic, but I just bought a Galaxy Nexus from Verizon. I was wondering if anyone knew if it would work in Italy with an Italian sim card. I won't be able to try it out until May.

I don't see why not, if he can convince them that he/it is leaving the country, and they won't be losing any revenue to an American competitor.
