The 20" Cinema display comes with two USB 2.0 and two FireWire 400 ports. If plugged into a Mini, can you use these ports as if they were ports on the back of the Mini? Do other companies make LCD's with ports on them?

Yes, the ports on the back of the display are simply a hub like you can buy in the store. I am currently typing on a Dell (work comp, I have to) whose 17" flat panal monitor has 4 USB 2 ports on it.

Note that you have to use the FireWire port and 1 USB port on the back of the Mini to use the ports on the display. The USB/Firewire signals do not travel on the DVI cable.

Oh, that sucks. So essentially it almost cancels out.
