Question about the sim card??

The sim card that comes with the iphone 3GS; does it do anything? Or do i just swap it out with my old sim card from my previous IPhone. Basically, i just want to make sure theres no info on the new card.

I just swapped mine with the one in my 2g iphone.

I was told you should leave the new sim card in the iPhone 3GS by AT&T and per their instructions in the box.
