Hey,
In Apple's web site in the iphone 4S tech specs its written that its a world phone, and the iphone 4 or 3gs is not. What does it means a "world phone"?

Basically means it has both CDMA and GSM radios, so if you are on CDMA (Verizon or Sprint in USA) you can roam through your carrier's global partners on GSM. With iPhone 4, you could do that if you had AT&T but not Verizon.

iPhone 2G, 3G, 3GS, and AT&T iPhone 4 are already "World Phones"...it is just the word "World Phone" was a marketing term by Verizon & Sprint to mean it has a GSM chip in it as well. Example: The BlackBerry 8800 was AT&T, and the 8830 was Verizon, the Verizon one had "World Edition" stamped on the front, even though the AT&T version works just fine around the world.
