Is it always the same day of the week on a certain date around the world?

e.g. Is it Tuesday June 20th around the world, or does June 20th fall on a Monday or Wednesday in certain locations?

My employer in the USA has an office in Brisbane, Australia. In our afternoon (USA) it's the morning of the next day in Brisbane. For example I cannot get a hold of anyone on Friday because it is their Saturday.

Since that Brisbane office is a day ahead, I should probably ask them to look up what the winning Lottery numbers are here.

We get this timezone thing at work all the time. It's always strange catching the Hong Kong and Singapore folks as they end their day, then working a full day in Europe before talking to the LA staff just before we head off ourselves. Then the following day the Hong Kong and Singapore people will mention how they were speaking to the LA staff first thing in Asia, even though the guys in Asia are pretty much a full day ahead by that point.

I keep pushing for an office in Hawaii (headed by myself of course :D), just to complete the set. Nobody is biting as yet though.
