question about upgrading family line

Ok if i upgrade just one line will it affeft the date of my second line if they dont upgrade yet? or will theirs stay the same?

Each line in the family plan has it's own individual 2-year contract. If one phone upgrades and the contract extends another two years doesn't mean the other lines contract will be extended.
