Do I need to unpair my Apple Pencil 2 to be able to use a Logitech crayon on my 11" pro?

I ordered a crayon for one of my grandkids, and I want to try it on my pro to see how I like it. If I get a mini, I'm thinking I may get the Logitech crayon to replace my pencil 2, so it'll work on both devices. With that in mind, I'd like to play with it a bit (if it ever arrives). Just wondering if I can just open it and start writing, or what?

From the logitech website:

How does Crayon connect to the iPad? Do I need to pair it with the iPad?
Simply power Crayon on and you are ready to go. No pairing with iPad required.

if you have previously used an Apple Pencil with your iPad, be sure to disconnect it before using Crayon. To do this, go to iPad Settings -> Bluetooth, find Apple Pencil in the device menu, and select ""Forget This Device"".

Cant understand it if it works with the iPad Air, thanks for the link confirming. Will have to consider another Pencil 1 (if I get mini).
