I understand replacement iOS devices come with a 90 day warranty.

Say I buy a brand new iPhone 4, 1 year warranty, and it breaks on day 1 due to a fault. Apple replace it. Do I then have a 90 day warranty and that's it? Effectively I just spent £499 on a device and got a 91 day warranty, through no fault of my own?

Am I missing something?

I'm in the UK.

You would still remain on your 12 month warranty

The 90 Day warranty kicks in if your original warranty is less than 90 days.

If you get an iPhone and it breaks in a day or week or so just get a refund or so and then get a new one, why would anyone settle for a reconditioned one after a few days?
