Just ordered an aw6, 44mm, blue with gray sport loop band. The gray color was the only one available with the extra large 170-245mm wrist size.

Thinking to buy a blue braided solo loop. Using apple's measuring device I get 11 when held snug around my wrist. Is ordering 11 the right thing to do? I don't like my watch bands too tight. Like on my analog watches with metal bands I kinda like them moving around a bit.

Even on my current aw3 i have the larger size nike band on it's very last hole. Doesn't really move around, but there's a bit of wiggle room.

What say you? Order eleven? Twelve? Maybe a size down to 10 if they run a little big or will stretch enough?

thanks for advice

I bought a braided loop two weeks ago. Everything I saw online said to get one size smaller than you measure. Well, I bought a 7, but measuered as an 8. It was snug. I started to feel it was too snug after 5 days. Wound up going in to an apple store and swapped out for the 8. Unfortunately I had to go with the green instead of the blue I wanted, but it fits perfect. My opinion is to get what the apple size tool tells you.

Ok, thanks for this info morningsong.

I went a size smaller and it is snug but not to snug. I wear my watch below the wrist joint. When my watch is above the wrist joint it is slightly lose.

Interesting. First time I paid attention to 'where' I wear it. Me too. Just below wrists bony point. I do think I will follow morningsong's advice. Just follow the apple tool size and go from there.

How come they do not have any watch band larger than size 12? Some of us have large wrists and it does get annoying having to select something I don't want

I feel the same. I mean I'm happy with the band but it was only available in one color. Turns out the charcoal gray looks real nice with my blue 44mm. Ordered the sport loop in XL. More color choices would have been nice.

Just a mention - for fitness tracking the sensors needs to have good skin contact. "moving around a bit" could lead to inaccurate/incomplete measurement.
I understand. With the sport loop I can adjust it just right and it works fine. I like this much more than the nike rubber 'holy' sports band i had on my aw3. Really much better to fit it right. Was thinking about the braided solo loop but I'm real happy with what I have so I'll put off buying it.

I'm with you on the sport loop for comfort and fit. I too prefer it to the elastomer sport band for fit and comfort. I also have the Milanese loop - also fits great but it's too formal for my day-to-day use.

I think the braided solo loop looks cool but for the price it's not worth the risk of mis-fit or stretching. However, I wouldn't be at all disappointed if I received one as a gift.
