Question about watch strap bought from Apple Store

I bought a leather loop at the weekend. Love it apart from the fact it's a bit too big for me. I've long since ditched the cardboard box it came in.

I'm guessing I cannot exchange it for a different size? I still have the plastic case it came in in the box.

I know, stupid to throw that away!

It can't hurt to try, if you have the receipt. Apple retail has been known to be quite lenient about other things.

I've spoken to someone on the phone last night and they say it should be fine. Will find out when I go into the store tomorrow.
