question about Windows XP SP2

first off, sorry if this is a stupid question but i've never been on a mac and if and when i get one i'm going to install Windows XP SP2 and i was wondering does it act exactly like Windows XP on a windows computer? can i update it to SP3 and can i install windows only applications? that's really the only main two questions i have so could someone please answer them.

It's just like running Windows on a PC, you can update to SP3 and run Windows programs.

And be sure to go to the Apple Boot Camp Support Site to download the XP version of the Boot Camp 2.1 Updater to install updated drivers that are necessary for SP3.
