Also can it at least run with one monitor and not use it in clamshell mode?
 
It's a laptop, why would it require clamshell mode? It has a screen built in.

I think you're asking about using the M3 Air with multiple external displays? How many are you looking to use and what resolutions?

Just trying to have options. I do have an M1 MacMini with dual Dell 27" screens. I don't like to be stuck in my bedroom MacMini work station all day and set up in another part of the house. Just got a MacBook Air 15 inch M3. I do have a small portable LCD scree . Now that you have helped me think it through the small LCD with the MacBook Air as an alternative set-up would probably be the way do go! Many thanks.
