I've been away from Apple for about 3 years now but when I left there was no formal system available to employees for scheduling. From talking with friends it sounds like this is still the case.

Same, I left in July of last year and there wasn't anything like that. They use Kronos now and you can request time off easily but adding/swapping shifts has to be through a manager via email.

i left 5th Ave at the end of September 2015 and that is correct. as a business specialist had a set schedule, but the first two years there was back of house and red zone, daytime, which meant a shift could be anywhere from 7-3 to 1-10. Not fun.
