Don't worry I will find something to debate/disagree with you about.:D Just didn't mean for this to sound like it.;)

Of course you will Julien! But truthfully, I appreciate your posts on here. You're knowledgeable in tech and as an athlete, with the just the right amount of hinted sarcasm mixed in between your posts. You have to keep it interesting, amirite?

I never made any recommendations. I simply implied my training regiment, being everyone is sharing various routines. I also it think it's reasonable to believe not many, if anyone, would attempt my work out regime based on my chosen career path. I train harder for elements most would never encounter in their life time. But I thought it would be interesting to share, let alone see what I go through.

Thanks for sharing! I am in no way ready to do any of this, but it's cool to see where everyone is. Sounds like you get an amazing workout. Maybe one day.

Totally understandable. I just get passionate about physical fitness and I was sharing my workout regiment, which is why I never would expect/or recommend someone to attempt my training. I have been training physically like this for years, it certainly was not obtained in a short period of time.

I think it's important to remember that everybody has different athletic abilities and no two individuals will have the same type of conditioning. On a side note, One of the reasons I train The way I do is because it's imperative for me to stay in physical shape to overcome any obstacle's I encounter dealing with all types of unexpected situations at any time. And I hold myself to a higher standard on and Off duty 24/7.

That said, the advice I will offer to you, is never give up and always set goals for yourself that you feel are obtainable. Anyone here can offer advice to you on many different levels, but ultimately, it comes down to your determination and will power to the best of your ability. That doesn't mean that you have to complete or reach every goal every time, but know that you are doing things to better your physical being and most importantly, feeling good about yourself. And that's all that matters at the end of the day.

Keep us posted with your updates bmac4.

@Julien.......fantastic pic of the stadium in the fog, just awesome! Actually all pics were superb!

@RP........if you're thinking about a weighted vest take a look at the Xvest. A tremendous vest that I use to walk and hike with as well as in the weight room when working with rings/TRX suspension stuff. It has lasted many years for me and is still in good shape!

Thank you to all you guys for your workout ideas/tips. Always motivating! :)

So just thought I would give a quick update. Ran on the road again today, and I decided to go back to the couch to 5K app. I went back to a workout in the middle of training to get in a rhythm again. So I did not run or walk the full 3.1, but I did run more in this workout, and I tackled a few hills. Pretty happy with the progress. I plan to hit the road again on Wednesday. Thanks again for all the input.

Absolutely. It's nice to hear from other people, and since I am so new to running it helps to hear what works. But yeah I am going to keep it to what I know I can do, and make sure I don't push myself too much.
