Once I've done the Archive & Install and checked that everything is in place, is it safe to delete the Previous Systems folder?

If you've got everything you need out of the folder, then you're safe deleting it yes...there's nothing critical in there, just the old system files.
 
If you skip verify disk, don't install foreign languages, and don't install printer drivers, both of my macs took under 30 minutes. My imac took about 20 minutes max! :)

I am trying to copy the previous SYSTEM archive to an external drive, but it just sits there and HANGS on copying 2014 items. Is there a problem compying this resource?
