is the official 3.0 exactly the same as the GM? or should i update just in case there are a few glitch fixes?

if so, when i click update it says the version im running (3.0) is the current version(right now that is, assuming when it is official it wont change). so if they are different, would we need to downgrade to a previous version then upgrade?

thanks

yes, still 7A341, but an update takes like 10 minutes... so why not?

unless you have ipod touch like me, where the update is $10

there are ways around this. my friend bought my ipod touch off me when it was on 1.1.4 firmware he updated to 2.2 for free

becuase it wont let you update if it thinks you still have the 3.0 so how do you downgrade to 2.2.1 to get the official version?
great question...im in the same boat and wondering if i need the official version, or if its the same as the gm...

no i have an iphone, i guess the official hasnt been released yet but ill wait and see if it says theres an update, hopefully its not a mess to switch! lol
