I was at the Apple Store today and one specialist argued that he's never seen a Samsung panel on an 11" and went on to say only the 13" can feature a samsung panel "if you're lucky".

    Was he lying?

Yea he doesn't know what he is talking about. I briefly tried the 11 inch model and it had a Samsung display.

I've had three 11" MBAs; one of the three was a Samsung.

Free information is always worth what you pay for it.

How do you check your screen panel?

Not worth worrying about on the Air

The Air still use old TN panels, it is old established tech and the manufacturer seems to show no indication of quality or difference, while this is not true of the retina ones in the MBP for the air I would'nt even think about it.
