I recently bought apple watch4 and have a question.
using this new watch can i find out where i have been all day, like location tracking.

can you please tell me how to enable it?

On the Apple Watch, when you select outdoor run or walk, the GPS will be enabled:

A More technical answer if you have any concerns/or questions:

On your iPhone, go to: Settings > Privacy > Motion & Fitness - check that both Fitness Tracking and Health are enabled.

On your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch > Privacy - check that both Fitness Tracking and Heart Rate are enabled.

On your iPhone, go to: Settings > Privacy > Location Services:

  • Check that Location Services (the main setting at the top) is turned on.
  • In the list of apps beneath, check that Apple Watch Workout is set to While Using.

You need to keep your eye on the watch battery as running the GPS all day, the battery will take a hit.

You can get apps for your phone that use your phone to track your movements and could do it all day long without killing the battery.

There is an app called "Gyroscope" that will show where you've been, provided you allow location services to it "always". It's an app that sort of consolidates all of the data that the Apple watch can gather, and puts it in one website, or app.
