I am a former Fitbit user...I currently use my Fitbit tracker only for sleep now. I am currently using the Apple Watch for fitness tracking but I have many "friends" in Fitbit that I was competing with the step tracking. I did get "Sync Pro" to syncronize all Fitbit info into Healthkit & on-going now just for sleep. I know that Sync Pro can sync Healthkit data now back to Fitbit but it transfers steps as activities...I don't believe that that will show up as "steps" and therefore I will be unable to compete with my "Fitbit" friends.

I did look at Activity Club & although this looks like a nice program it requires all friends to be members in order to compete.

Does anyone know of a program that will sync the steps from Healthkit into Fitbit to allow competition with existing Fitbit Friends?

I'd like this too. My wife is firmly in the FitBit camp and I'd still like to be able to "compete" (I never win) with her and other Fitbit friends.

I've been searching high and low. It looks like there are a few apps that will sync the steps from health kit to fitbit but Fitbit will show them as steps but not allow any of them to be used in challenges other than your leaderboard

what other apps have you found? Do you know if the Sync Solver "activities" shows up in the "leaderboard"?

syncsolver is the primary one. I believe they show up in the leaderboards but not in the challenges. Personally I have just decided to manually log my steps in fitbit at the end of each night from the activity app just to stay up on the leaderboard

I didn't even think to manually update Fitbit... :)

I sure like the Fitbit Dashboard over the Healthkit...Activities is a little better.

I tried Sync Solver (health to fitbit) .. I wasn't able to get it to sync at all and while troubleshooting, I found out that even if it did work, Fitbit won't let the steps from a third party app count towards challenges. This is very disappointing as I really enjoy the daily/weekly challenges that Fitbit offered. I have yet to find another app that offers similar challenges. I tried Pacer only to find out that the challenges were only 1-1.

Yeah, thats the thing with Fitbit. The step tracking _has_ to be from either a Fitbit device OR it has to be from the iPhone 5s/6 sensor in the phone. (mind you NOT the watch/healthkit)...

So if you have an apple watch, you simply can't compete with Fitbit users. It's really silly of them to not support that.

My app was already mentioned in this thread, but we investigated and researched all sides of this, and there is simply no way to get the steps recorded into fitbit in a way where your fit bit friends still see you as competing with them :(

While activity club requires them to signup to compete, which is definitely not ideal, we support multiple devices, and are adding more with each release, and things like weekly challenges are in the works! It's easier for us to take this approach because we never plan on making hardware, only software, so we will continue to support more and more hardware.

Cheers

Use Apple Watch & Fitbit?

My Apple watch is scheduled to be delivered today, and I wanted to get feedback on if I should continue to have my Fitbit data synching to HealthKit? I use sync solver app which goes from Fitbit to HealthKit. I understand that there is now sync Solver-Health to Fitbit. Does anyone know anything about this?

I'm an avid Fitbit user. FB won't allow the integration so the only way is to use the Sync Solver which is good but has limitations (caused by Fitbit)

I have 2 years of stats that I don't want to lose so I'm actually wearing both watches for now till something pops up to let me sync Apple to Fitbit.

I'm not holding my breathe though

HealthKit to Fitbit

Have you downloaded the new sync solver HealthKit to Fitbit app? I already have the sync solver Fitbit to HealthKit. Do I need the other one too?

I have successfully been using Sync Solver Health to Fitbit.

For several years I had a fitbit and used it mainly to track steps and floors and enjoyed cheering and taunting my other family members via the Fitbit Friends dashboard. Before the apple watch I was able to sync the data from my iPhone 6 and now that my apple watch arrived, I added that to Sync Solver as a "Source" and now heart rate and steps sync to fitbit.

The only issue with this is they don't count fully as fitbit steps. You can't compete with other fitbit users using sync solver. (sadly)

Definitely looking forward to activity.club and I hope my fitbit friends with convert.

Outside of challenges, the sync solver health to fitbit does appear to register my steps when viewing the 7-day listing of my friends leader board.

Thank you all for the responses. I'll look into downloading the HealthKit to Fitbit app for now. :)

I've started to use the Activity Club app but I don't get how it syncs to the Health App. I've set it up to read/write to health app yet health app says I've walked 7k steps and Activity Club shows no steps from Health App...it shows it synced 7 hours ago when I walked 11 minutes... I'm unsure how to sync it. Any help??

Hey, thanks for posting and using the app!

As for your question I looked at your account and you have a handful of steps that came in from fitbit. If you have more than one source of steps, the first one that records for that day wins. If you want to use health app and not fitbit, you can disable fitbit, and then tomorrow it will not interfere.

Please contact support at for.your.health@activity.club and we can help you out more, and we could erase the fitbit steps from your account if you like.

Cheers

The developer for Sync Solver isn't very responsive either. Have tried twice to ask questions but no responses received.
