I rather see the parents interested, engaged and knowing and potentially protective of the children in this day and age. In the 1960’s in a small town in the Midwest my mother always knew where her 6 children were. At any instant she could gather her brood up and go. When my grandfather passed away my mother had is all gathered up in 15 minutes and going to the hospital. That’s not possible today unless the children have some sort of deviceWhy?
