    Hi,
Im trying to figure something out...
If I have photo stream turned on in iPhoto...do I need to import photos manually anymore or can I just grab them from the stream? I think the resolution is comparable.

Also- I noticed photostream keeps ALL my photos..wasnt it supposed only keep the last 30 days? I have it for months.

    Thanks.

Yep, once they're in your computer from Photostream they're fine and full rez. You can erase the ones on your phone with no fear.

As for the part about old photos, are you looking in Photostream or just the Photostream folder in iPhoto? While Photostream itself will erase photos the ones in iPhoto will never be touched. The cutting of old photos is only to save online server space. Once they're in iPhoto on your computer Apple no longer cares how many you have.

    Thanks.
I'm looking in the stream on my phone. All old photos from months ago are still there.

So just out of best practice. I guess there's no reason to plug the phone to import anymore.
Just move the photos into different events?

according to apple 1000 photos will be stored in iCloud (photo stream). if you go over 1000 photos, the oldest will be "deleted" from apple's servers.

maybe you need to check, if you have over 1000 photos.
