I can't seem to get a straight answer....
I have an AT&T account now with one line on it - the phone is used by a family member.
I also have a t-mobile account with one line - that's my phone. I'd like to keep that number.
There isn't an option that I've seen to say you have an existing account and want to port over a number - that option is only for new accounts.
So my question is, what's better - open a new account, port over the number, then call at&t later to merge the two accounts that are both in my name
Or
Go to AT&T ahead of time and port over my t-mobile number, get a cheap phone, then on iPhone day when I activate select the "replace a phone on my account with the iPhone"
I just don't want to run in to any hassles.
