Question on Preview and .psd

Can Preview view .psd (photoshop files) natively? I mean can it view .psd without having photoshop installed on the machine?

Yes. Preview is completely independent of Photoshop. It can view .psd files whether or not you have Photoshop installed.

Quicklook can also preview psd files without having to open preview.
