I'm debating trying iOS 10 PB 2. I'm aware of the general risks around using a beta.

However there's one question I haven't nailed down an answer to: I saw one site state that third party apps won't receive updates until iOS 10 is live as Apple aren't accepting iOS 10 updates until then. But I'm not sure if this means updates intended to take advantage of iOS 10 features, or all updates.

Could someone clarify whether this means no updates at all until then? If, say, a third party app releases an update for earlier iOS versions - say the long overdue Pocket Casts update - will it be available for download in the iOS 10 beta, or hidden?

Apps will be updated normally unless they have specific iOS 10 APIs, which Apple won't approve until the OS is released this fall.
