If i was to buy a new mac (iMac), i would like to transfer all my data to the new iMac, i know it can be done but the reason i ask this is because i have many applications that only have one licence, Microsoft word, parallels 8, windows 8. Will these also transfer over and be able to be used? Thanks.

You will need the codes for those applications...I used Migration to copy my data over to my new iMac...Many apps, although copied required either the installation code, or a re-install.

    Office for Mac
    Doom
    Quake

Are three that come to mind...If you don't have the DVD's or the keys, you could find that important apps won't work post migration.
