I have my sounds set on my iPhone so there is a loud tune playing when I get a text in. This is required as I get important texts at work and it has to be enough to wake me up from sleeping. With my watch on, the texts go to my watch and the iPhone does nothing. With my watch off at night, the ring tune works exactly as I want it.
How do I setup my phone so it always plays the tune no matter if I have my Apple Watch on or not?
TIA for your help!

As far as I know, there's no way to do it unless you remove the text notifications from the watch completely.

When you get a text on the watch, it vibrates your wrist and plays a sound (unless you have sounds off on your watch, then it only buzzes your wrist) - so you shouldn't miss any notifications regardless. Whether the phone makes a sound or not, you get the notification via a wrist vibration at the very least.

Thanks, that's unforutane and does not make sense to me. I have the watch show alerts, sound and haptic all on and repeat alerts 3 times. Still can miss it especially if I'm working out. Maybe I'll chnage the repeat to 10. 🙂
