Question re upgrading

😎Hi I am getting a Macbook Pro. I have always used Windows for years but I have an iPhone and am leaning more to Macbook. Anyway, my question.

I am purchasing the 2.53Ghz 15" and I also want to get Mac Box Set. I very new to all this but do I need the Snow Leopard with a new Macbook Pro or is it just for an old Macbook for upgrading? Tks for your help🙂

You do not need to buy any Snow Leopard discs. The operating system comes pre-installed and also on restore discs inside the box with your new Mac should you need to reinstall the operating system.

New Macs come with Snow Leopard (since 9/2009) and iLife. You can purchase iWork for 79 USD I think. No need for the Mac Box Set.
