If I trade in my IPhone 7 to Apple for an X and get on the IUP, there is no way to get the credit for it to directly go to my device payoff @ Verizon is there? I want to get off Verizon's upgrade program and move to Apples as it includes AppleCare+ where Verizon does not.

So your phone is on a payment plan from Verizon? Your best bet is to sell it and pay off Verizon, and then start the IUP for the X. Trading into Apple you get Apple store credit, doesn't help you paying off Verizon.
Wondering if Verizon will just accept a trade in to pay off the remaining balance WITHOUT buying another phone thru them? Anyone know?
