So the IUP offers AppleCare included, and the Verizon upgrade plan does not. My question is, When you go on the IUP program, do you pay for AppleCare thru the first 12 or 24 payments?

I want to upgrade to the IP X and am currently on the Verizon upgrade plan but I don't like the idea of buying AppleCare for 2 years if I only need it for one year.

Thanks

Each monthly payment includes a portion of the phone cost and the AppleCare cost.

If you keep it for 2 years you’ve paid the full cost of both.

If you decide to upgrade after 12 months you’ve only paid for 1 years AppleCare.

I guess it makes sense going with IUP then correct? This is under the assumption I would be upgrading every year. With Verizon, I have to purchase AppleCare for every year I own the phone.

If you go Verizon and purchase AppleCare+ and trade in your phone next year, you can cancel it and get a refund on the remaining months.
