I have a question regarding skins/decals and the iPhone 5s.

I wanted to grab a gold 5s and put black skin on it so it's black and gold. I then thought of something; what about the fingerprint scanner? Can you put a little black circle skin on that? I believe it wouldn't work if you did.

Has anyone tried? I might be more likely to go for the black 5s otherwise. The white is very classy but I enjoy looking at a screen with dark borders.

From my understanding, putting anything like that over the touch ID will block the scanner

I tried a clear skin and even that stopped it from working.

Yah same here. Nothing is to be placed on the scanner. If you do the Touch ID is useless. You will have to go back and use the phone just like the previous iPhones.

Thank you guys. Your answers really helped. It would look a little weird black/gold with a white button on the front!

I'll have to decide whether to go all white then or just stick with the black one. Thanks :)
