Question regarding the "View Options" pane

I just reformatted my MacBook, and the "apply to all folders" option on the "show view options" pane is gone. How do I get it back?

I think you might mean "This window only" vs. "All windows"? Anyway, maybe you don't have any folder selected. The option doesn't show up if you are on the Desktop.
