Question regarding unibody macbook pro power button

I just received a Refurb Macbook pro 15.4/2gb/250 from the Apple store online. There is a small power button on the upper right side, and I'm not sure if there is supposed to be a light under the power button or not? It looks like there's supposed to be light under the power button, but there isn;t on mine. I looked at youtube videos and couldn't tell on any of them. Can anyone help me out here, is this thing defective, or is there no light installed under the power button on all of them?

There's no light. Only the keyboard is illuminated.

There is no light under the power button of any Mac notebook.
