Question regarding Western Digital Passport external

After plugging in the Passport, it seems the drive was working w/out installation because I was able to drag and drop almost immediately. Now all that's left is the manuals and set up files still on it. Is it okay to go ahead and delete these?

Yes when I get a new hdd I always delete the stuff they put on it. You don't need it.

Yes, you can delete these files. Better yet, if you aren't going to use the drive to transfer files to or from a PC, reformat it as HFS+.
