I was thinking of taking some ram from my iMac and putting it in my Macbook. Would it work? Would I see a difference? Can you mix DDR2 and DDR3? Any advice would be great!

waloshin macrumors 68040 Apr 15, 2010 #2 No you can't mix ddr2 and ddr3 ram sorry. A) ddr2 uses 1.8 volts while ddr3 uses 1.5 volts. B) They may share the same number of pins , but ddr3 has the notch in a different spot.
