I noticed, during the course of using my iPod touch (which has been jailbroken) that playback of all DRM-encumbered media from the iTunes Store stoped working.

To test what's going on, I restored my iPod, verified that it would play DRM'd music and videos in that mode, and did the jailbreak. After finishing the jailbreak (and renaming the "Media" files to fix iTunes syncing), I'm back to a state where DRM'd files will not play.

My question, then, is this: Does DRM'd playback work for you?

OK ... I think I figured out what went wrong.

If you try to play anything before you finish the patch to fix iTunes syncing, you somehow manage to screw up DRM-encumbered playback. I'm not sure on the exact point, but I did not touch the iPod until after I finished the sync fix and it seems to be working perfectly.

Thanks to everyone who voted. It helped me realize that I screwed something up.
