QUESTION~Transfering files to EHD

I am tranfering files to my EHD and I want them OFF my MAC HD, I am holding down "command" when I am moving the files but once they are transfered to the EHD I still see them on my MAC HD.

What am I doing wrong???

Does EDH stand for External Hard Drive? I'm guessing so. Either way, those files you are putting onto the EDH are being copied over. Just delete them off your Mac HD once the coping process is complete.

Command drag should work fine. I just tested it out myself.

But there's a reason why this is an undocumented feature. People have lost data when the connection to the external drive/networked computer went down. Copy followed by delete is by far the safest way to move your data off your Mac's drive.
