I know this is kind of a random place for this post, but I figured children would most likely encounter unfamiliar networks with a mobile device such as a Touch. That being said, I recently discovered that one of my
neighbors has named his wireless network "Go F*** Yourself." His of course is not censored. I figure it's a message for potential hackers, yet seems inappropriate to me given
the chance of children seeing of on a mobile device. Am I overreacting or is this common?

It's certainly not uncommon. There isn't much you can do about it though. If you really wanted to talk to him about it, you could point out that you find it a bit inappropriate. They might be fine about it and change it to something a bit less harsh, or they might egg your house.

I've seen all sorts in my appartment alone I've seen a few questionable ones. I'd much less lay concern on wifi names then say... porn or questionable website content.

1) What's a "child" doing with an iPod Touch?

2) I'd be shocked - shocked! - if a kid hadn't heard that and worse by the time they're 10 or so. You weren't an innocent little angel back then, and neither are they.

I always think a network name should not draw attention to itself.

Seems like hes challenging someone to hack him.

I like to call my router the default name of a different manufacturer. That should annoy hackers 🙂

Anyway, I'd be more worried about children accessing the internet than a questionable router name. I mean, have you SEEN what's on there? 😱

It's common, but ur not overreacting either. I'm not a prude but i would be shocked if i saw that name as an SSID. Although i did find it slightly amusing when i saw a network named "boobies" in the middle of a business district 🙂
