Yes I should do that, also I could ask someone I know that has a plus to let me play around with it a while. I didn't put it in my pocket but I tried it for 5 minutes and it seemed manageable (maybe it is because I just want it, so my opinion might be flawed) but I should do that the next time I see someone with a plus.

What do you mean by the Qualcomm version? I was going to buy the unlocked (aka Sim Free) Is there any difference?

Usually the Qualcomm is the unlocked version but I had a friend that Apple accidentally gave her the Intel version. Luckily she just swapped them out but you won't have that option. The Qualcomm works with CDMA and GSM. The Intel only works with GSM.

Should I directly ask Apple for the Qualcomm version? I mean, with that name?

Model A1660 and Model A1661 means they have a Qualcomm modem.
Model A1778 and Model A1784 are equipped with an Intel modem.

I'd just check the box they give you.

=)

I was told by my carrier that I should buy the A1778 or A1784, I don't know if I trust them though. Maybe all will work?

What carrier if you don't mind me asking? The Intel works with only GSM carriers like AT&T and T-Mobile in the USA. However the Qualcomm still works with AT&T/T-Mobile as well as Verizon/Sprint.

They will give you the Qualcomm if you ask for unlocked, without specifying carrier, at the Apple store unless you specify otherwise (or they make a mistake).

Movistar (it's from Argentina.) But I guess both should work per what you just said.

The Qualcomm version is only available in certain regions like the US, China etc, for most parts of the world only the intel version is available (Europe etc) and you can buy it as the unlocked sim free version.

I dont think the Qualcomm version is available in Argentina and you don't need it there.

Cheers

I cannot buy it here as there are no Apple Stores, unfortunately.

I switched from 6 to 7+. Its so much better then the 6. Once I got use to the size I'll never go back to a smaller phone

Both will work. The Intel version is missing CDMA bands but you don't need them on Movistar. The Qualcomm has all bands. I read up about Movistar, it uses bands 850/1900. So from that it shows that both models will work perfectly.

Here is a bit of reading on the models.

Thank you for that. I'm surprised there is such a difference. I would tend to think that they are fairly equal.
