I am thinking about registering my UDID with apple and obtaining iOS 7 beta and have a few questions. Is registering your UDID the same as getting a developer account?
1) If my UDID is registered is my phone/data safe or does it make it more easy for someone to hack/access my phone, ie if they 'steal' my UDID?
2) I understand that the beta versions only have a specific lifespan and that you'll need to update to the new beta. Are you for-warned prior to the new beta coming out, and is there an overlap giving you time to update before your phone stops working? Where do apple announce the beta updates?
3) With regards to the update, do you have to go through the process of obtaining the new ispw file and installing this, or can you update in the usual way via iTunes?
4) When you first instal the iOS7 beta via the ispw file does this wipe the phone and so I need to reinstall all apps, settings etc again?
5) Once the beta version is installed are you to refrain from using backup on itunes, or can you back up as normal? If you can backup as normal would this not wipe your iOS 6 backup in case you wanted to revert back to iOS 6?
Apologies for all the questions. TIA
