I ordered mine October 31st and delivery is suppose to be around December 1st. I am needless to say quite excited.

There are some questions I can't seem to find answers too

1st regarding the control panel with my iphone se I was able to add the alarm clock and low battery choice in the control panel and this is a seriously awesome feature. Will the 10 have this same feature?

Also I can turn off the alarm clock by hitting the home button. I guess this isn't the case with the iphone X.

My phone is pretty much our home phone, with you having to use your face to unlock it, will my husband be able to answer calls or make calls? Will he have to use a passcode? Should I just disable face ID?

Do you have to buy a fast charger? My iphones charge fine with the one that came from apple and maybe slightly faster with my ipad charger.

How breakable is it? I already bought an otterbox commuter and screen protectors.

I am new here and with all my questions I hope I am still welcome LOL

Yes you can add both.

A “stop” button pops up that you can use to stop the alarm.

You can answer calls without needing your face or passcode.

The charger it comes with works just fine. You can buy a fast charger if you want to charge faster in a short amount of time.

Don’t drop it without a case on. The front and back is glass so that means the phone is fragile. Keep it in the otterbox with a glass screen protector and you should be good.

can i chime in with a question?
what do you do when an app is crashed and "stuck" frozen?
i saw a video when you just cannot swipe up anymore.

around 2:00 mark.

and with no home button to double tap, what do you do?

tnx

That guy doesn’t know how to use the phone. Since the app was in landscape he would’ve had to have swiped from the bottom in landscape to exit the app. Double tap is replaced with short swipe up and hold.

Thank you so much. So do you swipe to answer a call?
You would push the green button to answer a call.

Oh like you do if you had the phone open. That is cool!

I love iphones. We are retired and just paid off our house. My husband started off by teasing me that he bought the iphone 10 for himself. Now this is a guy whose basic phone stays nearly 100% on his dresser. He kept saying so what will you do when it gets here. I laughed knowing he was teasing me and said, well count on never seeing it as it will be in my hand most of the time. He then said so you wish you could have one? I said, yes but Like I would ever ask for such an expensive phone. He said, you're impossible to buy for. For 35 years in our marriage you never let me buy you anything. I noticed you always have your phone either in your pocket or beside you. You would like to have an iphone 10 right? I said if I won the lottery. He ended up ordering the phone for me for Christmas. I am stunned! I asked him to let me cancel the order. He said, You can't cancel a gift. If you cancel it you will hurt my feelings. So I am getting this amazing phone. Better yet amazing is really what my husband is!

I guess I have another question about the X(10) I never knew to ask. Can the font be made larger for those of us with aging eyes? I can make the font larger on all the iphones I have ever had. I saw that maybe this isn't possible?

Yes, you can change in your Settings - General - Accessibility.

Funny I didn't see this since I do subscribe to his channel. I think his impressions are objective and totally valid. He's used to Androids and ALL that comes with it, not to mention he's sponsored by Samsung, so there probably is a little bias. But nevertheless, those impressions are fair. He also doesn't know how to use the gestures or any shortcuts so he's a little ignorant of how to use it. People like him will use his Samsung and love it. Others like me won't even consider non-iOS for various reasons. So many good phones out there.

Sidebar, guys like him are artists. His vlogs are beautiful. Like many here in the creative field (not me). I can understand personal gripes about some design choices. On the flipside, I also see why artists are drawn to the X and it's aesthetics. Beautiful freakin phone - coming from a non-artist.

I am all about Apple. I love them. I feel completely lost when my sister hands me her LG G5 and says, make a text or a call for me. I pick it up and look all around to see how to make it work. I tap the screen nothing, I shrug and say how? I never can remember. Give me my iphone any day of the week. I know that the Iphone X will be learning curve but it is still in the end ios 11. There was just a few things I wanted to know that most youtube video's never address which would be the questions I had in this post which was so kindly addressed for me. I saw a post today and freaked a bit about the font. But thankfully I will be able to adjust it.

Actual usage of the phone is no big deal. Even though we all rave about this beautiful phone, it still is an iPhone in the end, with iOS. The learning curve is really just minutes. Maybe awkward for a day, but when I look at the screen and use it, it’s essentially the same as my 7. I don’t know if that turns people on or off to the phone, but it’s just what it is. Even with FaceID and no home button, I haven’t changed my behavior/usage noticeably with the X. YMMV but this is the general consensus unless you are particularly OCD.
