I am looking to get a 15" MBP for college. I would like the i5 processor, but I want the 512mb of vRam that comes with the i7. Would it be possible to do this?

Moreover, I want an SSD, but not one offered by Apple (I would like to install one of my choice). Would it be possible to buy a MBP without a HDD? If not, what would be my best option here?

Possibly more questions to follow...

1. If it is not listed on the Apple site as a customisation when ordering no.

2. No you can't buy it without the HDD just take the one that comes with it out.
