Hi Everyone

I received my watch yesterday and everything seemed to be working fine with the notifications, but today they have stopped coming through and I wondered if anyone else has had the same issue? This has happened with messages and emails. I did notice last night that the messages were taking longer to come through on the watch then the phone.

Also what are the parameters when it comes to receiving messages on your phone and not the watch? For instance if I have iMessage open on my phone does that mean that I won't receive the message on the watch?

On the plus side I have to say that I am really impressed so far, and can't wait to see how it evolves over time as a product.

Thanks for any help offered

They go to the iPhone first and then to the :apple:Watch. Sometimes it is only a couple of seconds and other times it takes longer.

If you have your iPhone unlocked then your :apple:Watch doesn't get Notifications.

try restarting the watch. Hold the button on the side, below the crown, and restart it/power down. I have had it happen once since updating to 1.0.1 and not at all before the update.

Since the power down, it has not happened again.

Hi Julien

Excellent that seems to have helped. I think Apple needs to make it a bit clearer how iOS devices interact when it comes to things like notifications.

@mattopotamus thanks for the suggestion. I gave it a restart after I did the update last night. I have got in to a bit of a habit with my devices that I give them a restart once an update has been installed.

Thanks to both of you for the help :D
