I don't usually feel very comfortable wearing the watch when I go to the gym....I do bring my iPhone so I'm wondering if the activity app will function just the same? And sync up with the watch when it is in range? Or do I have to wear the watch for the activity app to work?

Also when using weather as a complication on watch face, I heard it keeps location services on at all times on the phone therefore draining battery, as opposed to when it isn't a complication and location services aren't on at all times.....is this true?

The weather complication updates 'periodically'. I don't have a source except my own use out running errands today where I saw it catch up to where we were. It's not instant, and it's not like a gps-like app on the phone. After 8 hours of use, I'm at 82 percent. Not saying this is normal, but just that the weather complication is not any sort of extreme load.

Having said that, it's great to have the temp/conditions/forecast temp on the face of the watch!

The workout and activity app seem to be watch specific and only the results are displayed on the iPhone. As far as I know the watch uses the heart rate monitor and accelerometer to calculate your movement and calories burned during a work out, so without wearing the watch there isn't a way for it to know. I haven't seen a way to manually enter a workout into the activity app either.

If I were you I would try wearing it and see how it feels. You might get used to it. If you don't use it during workouts then really you are missing out on all the fitness tracking functionality of the watch.

I am really doubting if i should keep my order for the apple watch. Hopefully i can cancel it when it starts to be shipped

Can anyone confirm my questions? Also is there a way to reset all data on activity app? To start the set up process from beginning?
