Thinking about picking up a 3.0 Mac Pro. I had a few questions before I do.

A) Is it worth buying it now or is there a chance that they'll be updated at the WWDC?

B) Hardware RAID vs software RAID. I plan to do a RAID 0 setup, and didn't know if there was any speed benefit to purchasing the RAID card and having that run the setup as opposed to running it via software implantation.

C) I hear conflicting reports, 8800 or 2600 for the graphics card, which is superior for core imaging?

Any help on any of these questions would be great.

As noted, their is nothing in terms of CPU, memory or systemboard they can upgrade to until Nehalem in late 2008/early 2009.

For RAID 0, it's probably a wash. Hardware acceleration helps with RAID 5 in creating the parity checksums.

If I am interpreting the consensus correctly, the x2600 seems to support core imaging better.
