As of now, we are just using my iCloud account since my wife only recently purchased an iPhone. I am only syncing our calendar, reminders, photo stream, and find my iPhone on her phone. I'd like her to be able to back up her information on her phone on her own iCloud account though. We'd still like to share the calendar, reminders, photo stream, and find my iPhone using my iCloud account.

So, would I want to create a second iCloud account on her iPhone and iPad for contacts, bookmarks, and documents & data? I think I would like our pages, keynotes, and numbers to sync on all our devices, but her data on games and other things to just sync on her devices and mine to sync on my devices.

Is it possible for me to sync it so if she purchases a new Apple product in the future, her games and the way her Apps are organized will be synced only on her devices and mine will be separate? By doing that, can we also sync pages, keynotes, & numbers on all our devices?

Also, on our laptop, is it possible for when she logs in, for her to use both her iCloud Account and my iCloud account where most of the information is stored?

    Thanks!

Just realized we can only backup using one iCloud Account.

Does that mean in order for my wife to have all her settings to backup for her individual devices, she won't be able to use mine as the main iCloud? To me, that seems we would have to have the same settings for each other on all devices, and could not separate our settings (i.e. how our apps are organized) for each device, right?

We are trying to set it up so our Keynotes, Pages, Numbers, Calendars, Photo Stream, Reminders, and Find My iPhone will all sync together.

We then would like our Contacts, Reminders, Settings, E-Mail, and Reminders to sync separately.

Is this possible & how do we accomplish this?

    Thanks!

Create an @me account then add it through settings > mail, contacts and calendars. Then only turn on what you want

I did, but it will only backup information using the main account, which is mine. We wanted it to backup her information (i.e. Contacts, Reminders, Settings, E-Mail, and Reminders) separately from mine.

The account you want to backup to needs to be entered into the iCloud section of settings. The account you want to sync with anything else goes into mail contacts and calendars.

I have it basically how we want it. We are using my account for Calendars, Reminders, & Find My iPhone/iPad.

I'd still like to have it where we are sharing Photostream so all our pictures will backup on iPhoto on our laptop. I'd also like it to sync our documents (i.e. Keynotes, Pages, & Numbers). It's telling me only the main account can sync those, and for us to have her settings to backup on her devices and my settings to backup on my devices, I can't figure out how to get the photosteam to sync on all devices.

Photosteam can now be shared, coming in iOS 6:

And I think there might be a way to have your documents shared amongst other iOS users.
