Questions on buying which Snow Leopard to get.

Hi there! I have some questions on which Snow Leopard I should buy.

My bro and I have macs. He has a 24" iMac running Tiger while I have the 13" Unibody Macbook running Leopard.

We're thinking of buying the Family pack... Since my bro has Tiger, he is going to need the Box set.

If he bought the box set, can I use the disc to install snow leopard on my macbook? Or Do I have to buy the upgrade disc?

Duff-Man says...if he buys the family pack box set then you are entitled to install from that...if he buys the single computer license then you are not and should buy the $29 upgrade disc for yourself.

If it is *only* the operating system that is of use to either of you then it's cheaper to buy a single license box for him and an upgrade disc for yourself, however if getting the most recent iWork and iLife (if you do not have them) for both computers is part of the equation then buy the family pack box....oh yeah!
